Nollywood’s Most Influential Actresses

By on July 22, 2013

They captivate us with their compelling on screen presence and they leave us wanting more! Nollywood's most influential actresses are truly pioneers. They are adored by millions of fans across the globe and have taken Nollywood even to shores unheard of. They are household names but at the same time, not a lot a said about the power they command and the kind of influence they bring. Prior to these ladies, the industry was looked down upon. No Nigerian parent had the guts to claim that their child was an actor or actress. Any child who stood his/ her ground to go into the profession was often chatised and almost forced to go into a profession that would 'make money' – for instance, being a doctor, lawyer or banker. Fast forward a few years and a revolution has taken place. Not only are the actresses 'making money', they are fashion icons and philantropists.

We are proud that they make Nigeria and indeed Africa proud; and for that, we honor their successes.
