Nigerian afro hip-hop superstar Panshak Zamani popularly known as "Ice Prince" is in New York for a concert today, Saturday July 13th at the luxurious Carlton Hotel New York in Manhattan. It is reported that Google will be streaming the concert live! The visit to New York comes after his recent win at the BET awards for Best International Act. There has been a lot of talk surrounding the star not receiving his award during the live show. Some feel that African acts were not treated with respect by not receiving television airtime at the award show. Ice Prince discussed his views about the speculations when he stopped by at Huffpost Live. Huffpost Live is affliated with the Huffington Post and is hosted by popular television personality Marc Lamont Hill. Check out the video to hear what Ice Prince had to say….

Was Ice Prince too humble in his response? Should he have spoken up to advocate for better treatment of African musicians at these award shows? Let us know what you think.

To further promote his concert, Ice Prince also stopped by at a New York City news channel to co-host the weather report! Take a look at this picture shared by one of his fans on instagram.
