Tonto Dikeh, Nollywood movie starlet and "bad girl"
She was  inspired to kindle her acting career when she watched Rita Dominic's
movie Orange Groove during her Sophomore year at the University of Science and Technology in Port-Harcort. She told herself, "Men, I can do this too!" and the rest has been a miraculous growth in the Nollywood movie industry. Although many moviegoers have seen her as controversial person and are excited to see her next "publicity stunt", others think she is a no good girl who is very classless and irresponsible. However, when we study her achievements in her Nollywood movie career, she has worked hard, paid her dues and starred in many films.

One of  the co-hosts from the popular talk-show on social and trending topics in Nollywood, "The Gist"  has once said "It's almost impossible to make it big in music as a movie actor"; after analyzing the previous failures from other Nollywood actors who tried venturing into music and even in Hollywood, it's been seen almost impossible. Yet, Tonto Dikeh has broken that limit with her wildly popular AND criticized recent songs. She was criticized on her first single release, and it was as if she got it all wrong. It felt like all hell let loose on her. Media personalities and Nollywood fans made a mockery of  her.  It's always hard when you are the trendsetter. But what did she say in the midst of all the negative feedback she received initially? "Keep listening you will like it." That was Bold. She wasn't broken and didn't give up. She persevered and was courageous, and even did well with her 2 released songs "Itz Ova" and "JeJe."  For her perseverance, I say kudos!
